Now able to communicate with the people around her, she attracts both good and bad attention from the small Nova Scotia town. *SPOILERS* She attracts the attention of a local sleaze, who sexually assaults her. Later in the film, she kills him for attempting to steal her child. I’m posting about this ‘cause I am sure all my man-hating friends who plot to kill all rapists would be pleased to hear about this.
