I was dressed up for an event and got this from a guy I know. He doesn’t know I’m trans*, but he made a big enough show of telling everyone around me how I was a girl dressed up as Harry Potter that I stabbed him with my wand had to use the basilisk stare.

I LOVE THIS.  THIS IS SUCH AN ACCURATE FREAKING METAPHOR for my experiences of being misgendered
